Heidi Klum Transforms Into a Trippy Butterfly for Halloween

Heidi Klum No stranger to the outlandish and spectacular Halloween costume, Heidi Klum continued to up the ante at her 15th annual party.
In the past, the model has masked her striking features in a wild array of costumes, like the fated apple of Adam and Eve (ex-husband Seal made quite the Eve), a female chimpanzee and last year s old grandma transformation.
This year was no different. Klum strutted (or really fluttered) into Times Square in a butterfly costume. But this wasn t your usual pretty but bland winged getup. Klum s outfit was a complete trippy metamorphosis (perhaps metaphor to her career track from model to mega entrepreneur?) with iridescent bug eyes, insect face makeup and psychedelic jumpsuit. Naturally, the model documented her transformation on social media including this fun video:

After, Klum flew to the official bash location at Tao Downtown, where she hung out with a couple Schnabels (boyfriend Vito and his artist dad Julian). Like usual, the party brought out plenty of celebs in the city, including Zoe Kravitz as a funky nun and Joe Jonas, who attended with designer Richard Chai (dressed like a candy raver), giving Blue Steel as Zoolander.

Evangeline Lilly Gets a Dramatic Bobbed Haircut

Evangeline Lily Hair See All Photos Evangeline Lilly has got a brand new bob! Yesterday on Instagram, the star posted a picture of her polished crop, keeping her signature bangs intact. We re assuming the change is for her role as Hope Van Dyne better known as Wasp in Ant-Man alongside Paul Rudd. Lilly, who previously starred in Lost, proves to be anything but in terms of her spontaneous hair choices. Back in 2012, she chopped her brunette strands into a long pixie with bold blonde highlights, and later experimented with the lob and blunt fringe movements. When it comes to my look, it changes almost daily, she told InStyle. It s like art to me. I have the chance every day to create a look an a character. We can t wait to see her new do in action once Ant-Man hits theaters in July of next year, not to mention what she ll try next.

Exclusive! Dancing with the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff Talks Last Night’s Burlesque-Inspired Costume

On last night’s Dancing with the Stars, Karina Smirnoff and Corbin Bleu performed an Argentinian Tango to “Welcome to Burlesque,” a sexy violin-driven ballad. The partners were definitely under added pressure—Cher served as guest judge this week, and also performed mega-hit “Believe” and “I Hope You Find It” on the show.
For their attire, Bleu and Smirnoff incorporated modern detailing to fit the burlesque theme. Bleu was clad in black pants and a white button-down shirt. Smirnoff took to a fitted, midnight blue body suit with nude paneling, sheer thigh-highs, and black lace-up booties for their dance. “I wanted to pay homage to the feel of the song,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com exclusively. “It s a modern Moulin Rouge take on the Tango.”
Cher called the duo’s performance “amazing” and compared it to a film she had seen in the past. “…It was about Tango, and it was beautiful—just like your dance.”
The team earned a 27/30, the second highest score of the night, right behind Amber Riley and Derek Hough. Surprisingly, Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated this week, leaving six couples in the ballroom.
Tune in next Monday night at 8/7c on ABC for the live results show.

Inside the Party: Calvin Klein Supports Marriage Equality with Uma Thurman, Neil Patrick Harris, and More

Calvin Klein HRC Cocktail Party See All Photos Like the Calvin Klein aesthetic, even the brand’s cocktail parties are streamlined and elegant—the brand along with the Human Rights Campaign, co-hosted a chic soiree to celebrate the advocacy group’s two-year-old Americans for Marriage Equality program at its Madison Avenue flagship store last night, and many loyal celebrity CK fans stopped by to show their support. “Tonight they lured me upon the issue of marriage equality,” said Uma Thurman, who showed up with daughter Maya Thurman-Hawke. “To me, it’s an absolute no brainer. Hopefully, it will be alleviated soon and everyone will be allowed to marry and divorce equally!” Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka, Andy Cohen, Dan Stevens, and more swung through, grabbed a Champagne flute and a rainbow-hued macaron, and toasted to the cause with Calvin Klein’s creative directors, Francisco Costa (womenswear) and Italo Zucchelli (menswear). “The company has taken upon this cause, and it’s really important to us,” said Costa, shown above with Thurman. “It makes us feel proud.” Go pride! Nicole Kidman Sundance See All Photos Greetings from Park City! This week, Team InStyle has descended on the snowy town for the annual Sundance Film Festival. It’s always a special time here during Sundance because Hollywood’s hottest are shoulder-to-shoulder with the coolest up-and-comers for one goal—to generate buzz for their indie flicks. Sundance Studio All the stars are swinging by to give us the scoop on their projects, and Aussie photographer Christopher Ferguson is behind the lens, snapping shots of all the stars, from Nicole Kidman to Keanu Reeves to Ethan Hawke. Quvenzhané Wallis’s Red Carpet Staple = Puppy Purses! Here’s Why

Quvenzhane Wallis Beasts of the Southern Wild’s pint-size Quvenzhané Wallis is getting the superstar treatment in the fashion world—just yesterday she wore a Stella McCartney dress to the Film Independent Spirit Awards, where she was nominated for Best Female Lead. And while the designer duds keep flowing in, there’s one red carpet mainstay that remains—her puppy purse. “I brought one to Utah [for the Sundance Film Festival], and that was the first one I ever brought everywhere,” the nine-year-old told InStyle.com. “Now I’ve started to collect them.” And Benh Zeitlin, the director of the film, loves the animal-friendly statement. “It makes a lot of sense because the first thing she ever told us at the auditions was a story about her dog,” he said. “I like that she’s staying true to herself.” So, does this mean we’ll see one on the Oscars red carpet? “Maybe!” she hinted. It would be an accessory to remember!
