Michelle Obama Wows In A Sexy Dress And More Wins On This Week's Best-Dressed List

Michelle Obama knows how to strike the perfect balance between sophisticated and sexy. The first lady did just that this week in a white, shoulder-baring Zac Posen dress at BET's "Black Girls Rock" awards show.
Actress Helen Mirren followed the fist lady's sultry lead and donned a sheer and crystal encrusted dress while hitting the town. Add that to the handful of other looks that caught our eye over the past few days and you've got yourself a squad of very stylish stars.
Behold, our favorite looks of the week! Let us know if you agree with our picks in the comments section below.
  • Michelle Obama in Zac Posen and Jimmy Choo Getty It's no surprise that FLOTUS landed on our list this week after stepping out in a white hot frock. The stunning design served up some extra sex appeal thanks to the figure-flattering bustier. And the off-the-shoulder silhouette showed off Mrs. Obama's famous toned arms.
  • Jennifer Lopez in Jennifer Lopez Collection for Kohl's Getty The fact that J.Lo is rocking an outfit (sans her Giuseppe Zanotti sandals) that retails for under $100 truly makes our hearts sing. Paired with her glowing skin and gorgeous gams, she looks like a million bucks.
  • Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka Getty Leave it to Dame Mirren to provide us with some razzle dazzle this week. The actress turned heads in a navy sheath dress adorned with crystals that can described in one word: stunning.
  • Jamie Chung in Mason by Michelle Mason Getty This effortlessly sexy dress is going to the top of our must-have list. The relaxed fit, poppy red hue and high slit with a bit of lace peeking out is a winning combination. Plus teaming the look with a nude sandal helps to elongate the look of the legs in this tea-length design.
  • Kerry Washington in Giambattista Valli Getty Although there's a lot going on with this mixed media dress -- an embellished bodice, floral embrodiered skirt and lacy Bionda Castana heels -- the "Scandal" star isn't overwhelmed by the design. She's pulling it off like a boss.
  • Millie Mackintosh Getty While we will forever love a LBD, the British socialite and reality TV star makes a strong case for the silver wrap dress. You'll just need some double-stick tape for that plunging neckline.
  • Nick Jonas in Valentino Getty Mr. Jonas has been stealing the spotlight away from the ladies lately. After impressing us with his accessorizing skills at the Brit Awards, the singer is now showing off his sartorial prowess in a red-and-black plaid suit from the Fall 2015 Valentino collection.
  • Tracee Ellis Ross in Bibhu Mohapatra Getty The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree -- and what a fabulous tree Ms. Ross gets to fall from. The "Blackish" actress channeled her glamorous mother, Diana Ross, while attending the "Black Girls Rock" show. The simple white, asymmetrical gown was nothing but retro chic.

I Put Kelp On My Face, Here's What Happened

I love sheet facial masks so much so that I'll try any one that doesn't look like it will burn my face off.
Sheet facial masks are treatments that come on a piece of cloth or paper. They are individually packaged (compared to other masks that are jarred or in tubes), and they usually target a specific problem such as dryness, oily skin or irritation.
Few things feel better than laying on my bed with a sheet mask stuck to my skin, a cool glass of water in one hand and my phone in the other. I always feel good about using the treatment every once in a while, because it's like giving my skin the relaxing vacation it deserves.
So when the team over at Glow Recipe handed me a sea kelp sheet mask, I immediately thought, "I have to try this."
What Is It?
Whamisa Organic Sea Kelp Facial Sheet Mask ($14, GlowRecipe.com) is pretty much what it sounds like: a mask made from 100 percent sea kelp. Unlike other skincare treatments, this product is free of parabens, silicones and synthetic fragrances. Its ultimate goal is to make faces glow.
The layers of kelp are submerged in a gel-like formula that includes niacinamide, a chemical that is made up of vitamin B3. Niacinamide can treat skin conditions such as bullous pemhigode, which causes severe blistering, and granuloma annulare, a ring-shaped cluster of small bumps. The chemical can also possibly treat acne.
While the Whamisa mask markets itself for all skin types, it's best for skin that needs hydration and a short-term appearance boost for 72 hours. If you have allergies, be sure to consult a physician before use, as niacinamide contains histamine, which could worsen your seasonal symptoms.
How I Used It
I decided to try this out on a Monday night after my skin looked dull from a long day and a hard Zumba class. I expected the mask to smell odd, but it smelled nicely of tea. I was careful in removing the mask, since the sheet is very delicate and it's split up into two halves. As the directions instructed, I applied the bottom half first, followed by the top.
Although the gel formula is slimy and slippery, I was surprised to find that the mask stuck to my face so I could relax. I peeled the mask off 20 minutes later.

Hi, I'm here to haunt your dreams.
The product promises to keep my skin glowing for about 72 hours, so I took a selfie every morning for the next 3 days to see how it held up.
three days
I indeed, #wokeuplikethis.
Rating: 4 out of 5. People complimented my skin and I loved the experience of having kelp on my face. Though my face wasn't particularly hydrated for three days straight, my skin held on to a nice brightness throughout.

12-Year-Old March Madness Winner Donates Xbox Prize To Make-A-Wish

Twelve-year-old March Madness bracket champion Sam Holtz has a philanthropic streak to match his preternatural basketball smarts.
Although a technicality prevented Sam from collecting ESPN's $20,000 grand prize, he used his consolation winnings to donate an Xbox to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Sam tied for first place in ESPN's official March Madness Tournament Challenge, besting some 11.5 million other entrants. His victory would have qualified him for entry into ESPN's Grand Prize lottery for a trip to the 2015 Maui Invitational, along with a $20,000 Best Buy gift card.
But the sixth-grader from Lake Zurich, Illinois entered the competition with his father's email address, a violation of ESPN's rule that entrants must be 18 years of age.
Sam had told Chicago's WGNTV he hoped to buy an Xbox One if he won, and Best Buy awarded him a $1,000 gift card as a consolation prize. He used the card to purchase one Xbox One for himself, and another to donate to Make-A-Wish.
"I decided to donate one of the XBox One systems to Make-A-Wish because of my cousin Alec," Sam told the Chicago Tribune. "When he was real little, he was in Make-A-Wish, and [23 years ago], people granted his wish of going to Disney World."
According to the Tribune, Alec survived his illness.
“I think that Sam’s a pretty admirable little kid,” Josh deBerge, senior manager of national communications and public relations at Make-A-Wish, told The Huffington Post. He predicts they'll quickly find a home for the Xbox because gaming systems are popular wishes among sick children.
Make-A-Wish chapters around the country granted 259 wishes for electronics in 2014, he said, mostly for gaming systems and computers.
"What a wish is in general is a chance for a child to imagine something that takes them away from their illness," he explained. "And I think gaming systems and the games that kids are playing help do that. The great thing about a gaming system is that they can get immersed in their games anytime."
“All of us should be like Sam, and be thinking about how we can do something good for others today,” he added.
