Lauren Conrad and William Tell s Engagement Photos Are Perfect, Just Like We Imagined

William Tell and Lauren Conrad Engagement Photos It comes as no surprise that Lauren Conrad s engagement photos came out as adorable as they did, but we couldn t help talking about it regardless. The designer—who also wears multiple hats including entrepreneur, best-selling author, DIYer, and social media star—shared two of her engagement photos on her personal Instagram and given Conrad s picture-perfect grams (whose exact filters she won t divulge to anyone, trust us, we ve tried to coax it out of her!), they re exactly what we expected and then some.
The very talented Elizabeth Messina came to our home to photograph us in our element, Conrad shares on her blog. I love how the photos turned out! In the two shots, Conrad shares a sweet moment with her fiancé William Tell—former Something Corporate guitarist and law student—and in the second, a romantic image of Conrad in a tulle dress showing off her round-cut diamond on a simple platinum band. We can t wait to see more portraits and all of Conrad s behind-the-scene preparations, which she promises to share on laurenconrad.com. As for the bride-to-be, she s so excited for the big day!

What s Right Meow: Try Purr-sonalized Sweet Treats from Minibrownie!

While growing up in Barcelona, Spain, pastry pro and cat lover Moises Alvarez always had a thing for sweets. But it wasn’t until he lived in N.Y.C. for seven years that he discovered a passion for chocolate brownies (his wife, Juli, happened to ask him to make them for her one day).
From Alvarez’s early days as a test kitchen cook with the Food Network when it first launched—to working with esteemed establishments including Bouley, Lespinasse, Le Cirque, and currently at The New York Palace—he combined his experience with European pastry training from culinary schools in Spain, Italy, and France to open up an Etsy shop called minibrownie. This coming month marks the one-year anniversary of the e-commerce site dedicated to delightful brownie offerings.
“I started playing with fun elements and different textures of the American classic—twisting the basic ones a little bit more with unusual flavors and ganache,” Alvarez tells InStyle. “Like everything in pastry, the quality of the ingredients, a minute more or less in baking time, or a few degrees in the oven temperature makes all the difference.”
Among peanut butter and espresso-flavored desserts, customizable fudgy goods are also available—you can send in any image to put on top of the sweet treat. (Hello, Instagram!) A popular design includes a marshmallow brownie aka the Minimallow Photograph with an adorable feline face (above). “It took about two seconds to decide to put a cat on it—we are a pet-crazy society, and knew people would just love the idea,” says Alvarez, who bakes the desserts straight from a kitchen space in the Financial District of Manhattan. The photo is reminiscent of his dearly departed Russian Blue, Boo Boo. “Both have that same intense look on their faces, like they want to say something to you. Most of the photos sent in are actually of cats—and they’re beyond cute!”
Shop the delicious sweets from minibrownie ($5 to $32), made-to-order daily at minibrownienyc.com.

Rosamund Pike On Taking Post-Baby Fashion Risks: Everything Feels So Fun and Free

Rosamund Pike in Louis Vuitton There s no question that Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike has been killing it on the red carpet all awards season long, and that s largely in part thanks to her post-baby outlook on fashion. At the unveiling of Louis Vuitton’s Series 2 exhibition last night in Los Angeles, the star (who gave birth to her second child on Dec. 2), looked incredible in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton and dished on experimenting with style post-baby.

It s a wonderfully freeing time right after you ve given birth and you re a mom. It gives you an opportunity to really treat fashion as something fun because things don t exactly fit and your body is a different shape, which makes it a time to experiment, Pike tells InStyle. Everything feels so fun and free for me at the moment. But there s really this juxtaposition where I m at home feeding him, and then I put a dress on and am suddenly on the red carpet. It s surreal, to be honest. I m just not thinking about myself and fashion that much. I m sort of doing the red carpet and going back to the most important thing, which are my children.
As for her look at the event, Pike was loving it: I realize this might become one of those iconic dresses. I think it s a really beautiful creation—it was the thing that caught my eye most in the Louis Vuitton collection, she says. You ve seen it in white in the ad campaign, and I m wearing the blue version. I love the feeling of being covered up and protected. I m not into revealing too much (Golden Globes gown aside), but I think there s something very nonchalant about this dress with its long sleeves, high neck, and short length.
The Best Actress nominee is gearing up for what will certainly be another fashion win at the Academy Awards, and we can t wait to see what she wears.
